Are You Tired
Of all the people you’ll encounter today, it’s safe to say that most will be trying to cope with a significant level of grief or stress.
This could account for their pained or out-of-sort countenance, their curtness in conversation, or their disagreeable inflexibility.
Perhaps the villain they’re battling is disease, financial pressure, a fractured relationship, unfulfilled dreams.
And just perhaps this describes the person in your mirror.
A Man I know once said, “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me, and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me, and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
His offer still stands. Sounds like a good deal, doesn’t it?
