"Cry, Babies!"

Some parents took their children to meet Jesus to have Him pray for and bless them. You’d walk on hot coals for this, but His dense disciples were offended by this intrusion.

The Lord chided them, “Don’t dare hinder these babies from coming to Me. Heaven belongs to people whose hearts are like these dear ones.” Matthew 19: 13–15

Ever wonder how Jesus feels about the trafficking of children across our open southern flank? What’s His view on terminating unborn or newborn infants? What’s His reaction to males invading our daughters’ locker rooms? Does Jesus have an opinion about gender changes? Would He re-elect lawmakers who ban parents from rescuing their kids from this barbarism?

As Jesus beckons our little ones, we stand at a distance – the rooster crows – while we do nothing. Will we let our precious ones weep until their tears run dry? Will we answer their cries? What would Jesus do?

“Anyone who welcomes a little child on my behalf is welcoming me. But if anyone abuses one of these who believes in Me, it would be better for him to have a heavy boulder tied around his neck and be hurled in the deepest sea than to face the punishment he deserves.” Matthew 18:6
