Our national observance of Memorial Day stirs us from our patriotic dormancy, bringing to mind genuine American heroes who traded their very lives for the priceless gift of freedom which we dare not take lightly.

This current, cancel-culture virus is seeking to mask what earlier generations spilled their blood to preserve and protect.  Who will call our attention to the need for a national do-over, a Constitutional cleansing, a fresh start for freedom?  

Whose voice will rouse us from our self-inflicted slide, lest we forget the awful price the Savior paid for our deliverance from sin’s penalty, power and presence?  

Nothing should be exempt from Jesus’ charge, “This do in remembrance of Me.”

‍“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you,” Jesus said.  John 14:26
