“People talking without speaking, people hearing without listening …”

How difficult it is to read a closed book.  And how impossible it is to turn down the volume of the booming basso dining at the next table,even though he’s seated mere inches from his date.

Why is it so hard for some to crack their door and let you get aglimpse inside their life?  Meanwhile, others are forever babbling, butnot about anything that would grow understanding and friendship.
